Extraction Services

Our partner labs state-of-the-art extraction facilities utilize supercritical and subcritical CO2 extraction and cryogenic ethanol extraction as bulk methodologies.

State-of-the-Art Technology

We utilize a powerful chromatography technique which allows for the identification and complete removal of the naturally occurring trace amounts of THC from the oil, while leaving intact the full spectrum profile of non-psychoactive phytocannabinoids and synergistic compounds such as Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabinol (CBN), Cannabichromene (CBC), and many naturally preserved terpenes.

Proven Processes

All of the extraction facilities have fully developed a rigorous quality control and quality assurance protocols in place that call for on-site chromatography and 3rd party batch testing that ensures accurate levels of phytocannabinoids, confirms the level of THC at or under the FDA mandated level of .3% and produces the highest quality TRUE Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and THC-Free Hemp-derived extracts that contain no solvents, no heavy metals, and no pesticides.

Our licenses include CFM (Commercial Food Manufacturing) which is all-encompassing of cGMP, GDF and NSF which creates a seamless chain of custody for consumer products hitting the shelves under FDA guidelines.

Initial Extraction

THC and other volatile cannabinoids and terpenes are separated from the cannabis plant via temperature and pressure. Through this method CO2 is pumped into an extraction vessel containing the plant material and then converted into a liquid which then passes through the plant material, extracting the oil content. The liquid (CO2 + plant extract) is then pumped into a separator vessel during which the CO2 is converted back into a gas where it separates from the oil. The denser, heavier oil falls to the bottom of the separator vessel into a collection cup that contains both the valuable compounds and other, unwanted, compounds such as fats and lipids.

After the essential compounds are separated from the plant materials a solvent such as ethanol is used to remove all undesirable compounds to isolate the cannabinoids so that they can be purified further.

Distillation further refines CBD extracts by separating molecules through the use of heat, steam, pressure, or condensation (or a combination of the above). Through distillation, we can separate cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, fats, and waxes and control the desired levels and key components in our end products with particularity.

Isolation is a separation technique that follows extraction in which a purified compound is produced. Through Isolation, we can produce 99%+ pure CBD for end-use products. Additionally. Because we begin with superior, Registered Industrial Hemp that produces, on average, 15% CBD our refining process is much more gentle and requires fewer passes, which weaken the CBD molecule. As a result, our CBD isolate has a much longer shelf life, is molecularly stronger and is less susceptible to degradation from light and heat. All pure CBD powders, CBD crystals, and CBD isolates are 3rd party lab tested and verified 100% THC Free.

THC-Remdiation uses a process called reverse-phase flash chromatograph to separate THC from CBD and other cannabinoids. CBD differs from THC only in the number of -OH functional groups, CBD has two while THC contains only one. These different hydropoxicities allows the THC compound to be separated and removed and make them legally compliant below the mandated threshold of .3%.
